Two nights ago, I got to meet up with one of my favorite friends and her sweet family.  It was great to see her, meet her sister and roll around in the grass with the kiddos.  Five of them to be exact!!!  Her sister was in town with her two kids and our goal was to get one of the five cousins together…Well, given that two of the five are 1 year old twin girls, that goal was tough!  We got a few, but my favorites turned out to be all of the others that we really didn’t plan on taking.  While I edit the rest, I thought I would share a couple that I love!

Man, almost two months since my last post!  I am a TERRIBLE blogger.    My summer has been spent entertaining two litle boys indoors because it’s SO hot outside!  We spend our fair share of time at the pool and the lake, but for the most part, we try to stay out of the heat…Did I mention it’s HOT here in Houston?!?  Anyway, I haven’t spent much time behind my camera lately.  I’ve photographed a graduation and a birth in the last month, but for the most part, I’m just hanging out with my kiddos.  Things will pick up this month…And I’ll make sure to share some images of those sessions.  I am also working on a couple of new projects…And updating things a bit.  I can’t wait to share them with you! 

Anyway, just wanted to check in…Say hi.    And I’ll post some new pictures soon! 

For now, here is a picture of my niece, Lindsey, and the boys…She spent almost two weeks at our house (we love it when she comes to visit!).  One afternoon, they all dressed up.    You can’t see it, but Lindsey had a cape on too…Which is just one of the reasons they think she is one of the coolest people on the planet!    (Oh, and Kole’s expression…Well, that’s the “look” I get everytime I try and take his picture.  LOVELY.)

Not only did I get to take Miss A’s and Baby J’s pictures, but Amber and Jeff got in a few too!  I am currently editing their session, but wanted to give you a little sneak peek! 

Amber’s been itching to see some more pictures from this session.  Because we’re still working on the announcement, I don’t want to reveal too much, but here’s two more of my favorites. 

This is the first I’ve edited from my session yesterday…LOVE it! 

If you have newborns or little girls (ages 3-4), I have tons of new props/outfits!  The outfit you see in this picture belongs to me.  I have several new tutus, hair bands/bows, necklaces, leggings, etc.  I also have lots of hats, cocoons, and super cute stuff for newborns to use at YOUR next session!  Call me. 

I have been a VERY bad blogger!  I won’t bore you with excuses…Although I have a TON of them!  I’ve got so much to blog, but that means actually sitting down at the computer long enough to do it! 

I do want to show you an announcement I made for Amber after we took baby J’s newborn pictures.

A baby in a bowl, anyone?   

I just LOVE how these came out!  But first, a funny story.  We were down by memorial park and saw the COOLEST garage door.  I saw a man out on the curb, sweeping and asked if that was his house and if we could take a few pictures in front of his door.  He shook his head yes the entire time I was talking and then pointed to the door as if to say, “Go ahead.”  B and P had JUST sat down and I was getting ready to take the first picture when the door started going up…We looked at each other so confused…And then a car started to pull in the driveway!!!  She rolled down her window, so of course, I started to tell her what we were doing and that we had gotten permission first and I pointed to the man standing outside.  She said, “He works for us and doesn’t even speak English.”  And by the look on her face, she was not happy.  She just looked at us…No “go ahead,” nothing.  So I had to ask if it was okay and after she paused for what seemed like FOREVER, she nodded yes.  And then about three seconds into shooting, she came out of her front door and just starred at us.  We were so embarassed!!!  BUT the door were fabulous and I’m SO glad we stayed and used them!  And we got a good laugh out of it! 

I love being busy!  And with Christmas coming up…My next month is PACKED with sessions!  Here’s a sneak peek at one of my favorite families…The Preglers.

Oh, there are LOTS from this session…The Rudd family!  Loved this family!  These kids were ADORABLE!  Each one a little model!    It was impossible to pick favorites!  Instead, I just picked a handful as I am editing so mom and dad could see a variety of shots from our session the other day.  So here’s a peek…Many more to come!

Okay, I’m just getting started.  Here’s what I’ve got so far…Now, this is just an example.  All of my cards are custom made to fit your taste and your family.  I just want to give everyone a place to start.  Decide what you like and what you don’t…And we’ll go from there.  I have a TON of papers for backgrounds…Any color you can imagine.  And lots and lots of patterns too!   Whatever you can dream up, I can make happen. 

And on the one below…Each square would have an individual picture of each one of the kids in this family. 

But I fell in love with this little boy, Cole!   He was absolutely precious and I wanted to take him home, but his parents insisting on keeping him.    This is first picture I have seen from their session…And needless to say, I think they are going to have LOTS to choose from.  Keep checking back for more from this session…

Meet the Preglers…Jenn, Chris and their adorable little man, Cole.  What a gorgeous family!!!  And the best part about the Preglers, they were SO sweet!  They made my job so easy.  While we were shooting, I kept asking Cole if he could see Elmo in my camera…Jenn told me that was one of his favorite characters.    Well, my trick did work and we got some great shots because he loved the idea of Elmo in my camera…I felt like such a liar when he’d come over to me, point my camera and say in the SWEETEST voice you’ve ever heard, “See Melmo…See Melmo.”

This session had SO many great pictures, but I’m WAY TOO TIRED to blog tonight…So here’s one.  And it happens to be one of my very favorite pictures…EVER. 

If you scroll down on the home page, the last 6 months is missing!  It jumps from May to November…And all the posts in between are gone!  They are still under their given categories, but just not on my home page….And I have no idea why???

The following card is an 8×4 white background…That does not show up on here!  Use your imagination!    And remember, if you like a different background…Any of the “papers” can be replaced by another one.  For example, if you prefer the black and white damask instead of the red, I can change them out for you to see.

Thought I’d let everyone know…

I will be making a few changes to policies and pricing starting Jan 1st, 2010…But one will start today.  I will only be leaving my password protected galleries up for FIVE days.  That will give you five days to see your pictures and decide on your prints.  After five days, I will charge $45 to put your gallery back online for viewing.  Those galleries that are up right now will come down on Friday of this week…That gives you five days from today.  As for pricing, I will honor my price list on all prints ordered BEFORE Dec 31st, 2009.  After that, you will be subject to the new price list.

Okay, the other day, we went out in the COLD and attempted to get some GREAT shots of the boys for a Christmas card…All I can say is JUST WAIT to see the card!    But here are a few pictures of Karson while you wait…

My gorgeous, fun and newly engaged neighbors, Sarah and Casey.

My neighbors…Casey and Sarah.  We had SO much fun shooting their engagement session.  When I told Sarah that she makes some GREAT expressions, she said, ”Yeah, I watch America’s Next Top Model.”  I LOVE IT!  I have so many favorites from this session…But here are a few of my favorite favorites! 

When I saw the following picture, I peed my pant a little!    SUPERMAN!!!

One of my best friends, Amber, and her husband, Jeff, just welcomed a new member to their family…Baby Joshua.  I was honored to be  included in their big day…And truely enjoyed every minute of it.
